Akshay Kumar grabbed the first opportunity in Bollywood industry and made his debut entrance in the movie “Saugandh” in year 1991. Later he starred in the movie thriller of “Khiladi” in year 1992 and after two years, in 1994 was seen in number of action films including “Main khiladi tu anari” and “Mohra”, which made a huge box office impact and from there onwards there was no stopping for him. He right from there, took all the chances, opt every kind of role and to that what he has earned is his overall acting career transition from action hero, thriller to a romantic hero and then eventually in to a comedy one.
Later in year 1994, he signed up “Ye Dillagi”, which was another big success for him. He gave another super hit movie “Suhaag” in the same year, and a low budget action film “Elaan”. All of these movies and instant successes made him the most successful actor of that year. In year 1995, Akshay was seen in Khiladi series, Sabse Bada Khiladi, which was a great hit on box office results. He gave another successful film Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, where Akshay acted opposite to Rekha and Raveena Tandon. This film grabbed huge success and eventually became one of the most grossing films of the year.
In year 1997, Akshay starred in the movie Dil To Pagal Hai in a supporting role and then in the same year signed up movie with a comic role in Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi. This film couldn’t perform well commercially, but he experienced his skills in comic role. In 1999, Akshay was seen in films such as Sangharsh and Jaanwar, for which he has received many critical praises In year 2000, he again tried to venture in to comedy side of acting, and signed up Hera Pheri, was couldn’t do well. However, later his movie “Dhadkan” opposite to Shilpa Shetty and Sunil Shetty was a super hit in box office. Venturing into versatilities, he opt a negative role in movie Anjabee in year 2001, which won him a Filmfare award.
Years of 2003 and 2006, he was seen in Awara Paagal Deewana, Andaaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Garam Masala and in the sequel Phir Hera Pheri, and later in dramatic movies of Aankhen, Bewafaa and Waqt. In year 2007, he gave some real super hit movies in the shape of “Namastey London”, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”, and “Welcome”. Many of his films in year 2008 couldn’t do well on box office, instead of much media hype “Tashan”, however his movie “Singh is King” did super well all over the world.
Not only in Bollywood industry, but Akshay has been seen on TV mode as well, on various thriller shows, such as Khatron ke khiladi and another program name Master Chef India. Later in year 2011, he gave movies including Kambakht Ishq, Blue, Action Replay, Tees Maar Khan and Desi Boys, all of them couldn’t do much well on the box office results.
His latest release “Once Upon a time in Mumbai 2” and “Khiladi 786” have done pretty well and so as he engaged in his list of movies to be released in times soon.
