Selena Gomez took acting inspirations from her mother, when she used to watch her preparing for her act on the stage and from right there developed an interest in the field of acting. Since then, she started giving auditions to various shows; but she got her first real role in the television series of “Barney and Friends” in year 2002 in the role of Gianna, which got quite famous. She starred in a total of 16 episodes of the series and then was left out with the series, in year 2004.
She kept on venturing into various opportunities that came across and kept on exploring them, while finally appeared in the movie “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over” in a precise role. Right from there, she got noticed and started appearing on variants modes of media, like commercials. She later showed up with average roles in Television films of Walker, Texas Ranger as Julie and starred in the episode of Disney series of “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” in year 2006 and an evil role in “Hannah Montana”.
She got herself a breakthrough entry in the acting field industry through appearing in the movie of “Wizards of Waverly Place”: a Walt Disney series in year 2007, where she played a role of Alex Russo. Later on in year 2008, Selena made her first animated movie, “Horton Hears a Who!” and then a movie “Another Cinderella”. In year 2009, she appeared in another two Disney movies; “Princess Protection Program” and “Wizards of the Waverly Place: The Movie”. Most recently, Selena appeared in a comic crime thriller movie “Spring Breakers” in year 2012.
Not just limiting herself to the genre of acting, but she has expanded her horizons and ventured in the Music industry as well. She started off in year 2008, with cover of “Cruekka de Vil” for Disney Mania 6 and then later to that, recorded 3 songs for her movie “Another Cinderella” and “Tinker Bell”, which was an animated movie. Also, she recorded a single “One and the Same” for her movie “Princess Protection Program” and then 4 soundtracks for her movie “The Wizards of the Waverly Place: The Movie”.
Later in year 2008, she signed a recording agreement with Hollywood Records in order to launch her debut album, “Kiss and Tell”. And then there’s no stoppage to her singing career from there on.
